Well, after the survivor-trivia challenge this week, you'd think no one in the guys' camp would still be so self-confident in our abilities, right? I mean, even if it was only one question, the girls still beat us out for the win, after all. And then we had to send 2 people home! A crushing blow, so you'd think we'd be a bit more humble now, right?... Well, if you'd think that, you must not know anything about the men of the Tonogata tribe.
Though they did win, the girls only seemed to earn a small chunk of respect from the guys. Even I went along with it; though mainly to try and blend in a bit, I'll admit. Personally, guys, girls, gender doesn't matter when it comes to skill. I really do think we only lost because of a small mistake, but I also think we're all pretty evenly matched, with very little riding on sheer luck. ... But, if I wanna blend in with the other guys, matching their cocky attitudes is a good place to start!
I mean, most of them probably realize the one question we got wrong was one I took care of-- one I personally messed up. Sure, others didn't do anything, and Big Tom gave at least 2 answers that were wrong that I had to fix for him, but the one we mess up on, ironically enough, is one that only I could be blamed for. So, for me, at that point looking like the wierd guy or the one who supports the girls could quite probably get my butt kicked straight outta here. However, either I'm a really good psychologist, or I had nothing to worry about from the start-- Yul Kwon seemed to be an obvious pick from the start.
I mean, he didn't really... Do anything. He came by to act like a moron on the day votes were being cast-- Announcing his votes out loud, criticizing the rest of the tribe at tribal council when he didn't even do anything in the challenge... He essentially dug his own grave. Then knelt down next to it and asked to be pushed in.
However, looks like Rob got voted out too-- Boston Rob, anyway. I guess sitting himself out cost him; the challenge went late enough that he could have made it back, so sitting out ANYONE other than Yul Kwon or Yau Man Chan was a bad idea. Eh... Whatever the reason, though, he didn't come on to fight out the tie-breaker with Yau Man, so Rob was doomed from the start... Kinda sad, since he was pretty friendly with me.
... Then again, I can't feel TOO bad for him, seeing as his departing words to me were basicly "I'm sorry you guys are gonna lose now, because without me you're screwed. I was one of the only decent players on the tribe. Good luck in life". ... Nice enough guy, but kinda arrogant... And bitter as hell.
